About Us

At 4ft and Up Kitchen we love the effect cooking food together has on a community. It brings families and friends closer and helps pass down culinary traditions for generations. Our adult and young chef cooking classes not only teach you how to cook but also where your food comes from, how to prepare it in different and interesting ways, and what nutrients it gives to your body. We want to help people of all ages develop a healthy relationship with food and food culture one dish at a time. All of our classes are vegetarian and nut free.

Chef Mo

Founder and Chef Instructor

Owner and Chef Instructor

Chef Mo began her career in the culinary arts after graduating from Le Cordon Bleu in 2008.  She spent many years working in numerous bakeries and restaurants throughout the Chicagoland area. After working alongside, and gaining knowledge from various chefs, she discovered her true passion was not only cooking and baking, but also teaching. Soon after moving to New York to assist in the opening of a popular cupcake bakery, she started working towards her new-found goal by teaching children the joys of cooking through her fun, creative cooking classes. After many rewarding years of teaching children in New York, Chef Mo decided to make the move to the West Coast where she started 4ft and Up Kitchen.
